Springfield Dental Implants – Replace Missing Teeth Today
At Brookfield Dental Associates, we understand the importance of having a whole smile. We provide dental implants and restorations to replace one or many missing teeth from our cosmetic dental practice. As your one-stop-shop for implant placement and restoration, we ensure convenience and complete treatment. Dr. Chimata has extensive training in implant restoration and can make a crown, bridge, or denture that’s customized to each patients’ smile. Our dental team treats individuals who need teeth replacement from all over Springfield, Lorton, and Alexandria. The Implant Placement Process
Beginning with an initial consultation, we take impressions of your smile and plan for your dental implant placement. If your jaw bone has weakened due to tooth loss, then we will perform the necessary bone graft or sinus lift procedures in office. When your jaw is ready and the restorations have been planned, then Dr. Chaudhry will perform the implant placement. With a temporary restoration placed on the implant abutments, your mouth will be functional and healthy as the jaw bone heals over the next two to six months. For complex cases we can have a periodontist come into our office to do the procedures.
Through a process known as osseointegration, your dental implants fuse to the jaw bone and act as an artificial tooth root. This fusion gives dental implants a permanent foundation to which a long-lasting restoration is attached. After your restorations are finished, then they are attached to the implants and fit seamlessly in with the rest of your smile.
Dental Implant Restorations
Fashioned from hardened porcelain, dental implant restorations have a similar strength and look to natural teeth. Additionally, when they are made for a patient’s smile, they are color matched to be uniform with the other teeth. Whether a patient is receiving replacement for one or many teeth, these restorations will last and restore function and beauty to the smile. Besides crowns and bridges, it’s possible to have implant-support dentures in various forms, such as removable hybrid dentures, or permanent overdentures. Dr. Chimata ensures patients have many options when receiving implants, and takes them through each available restoration. Are Dental Implants Right for Me?
Dental implants are the right choice for many patients, as they are highly adaptable and can be worked into smiles with unique dental problems. It is important to have a smile that is prepared for dental implants, whether that means receiving care for periodontal disease, having teeth extracted, or receiving bone grafts. At our Springfield practice, we do our best to prepare the smile and plan for implant placement for a high chance of success.
